The Vampire Diaries: The Fury and Dark Reunion by L.J. Smith

I realize that it is late and I sincerely (yet, somehow not very much) apologize for that. But, seriously, it's still the same day, and I had to wait till I was done reading The Hunger Games (which shall go into my rainy day folder, of course). So what if you didn't read this the day I posted? At least I am keeping the trend of posting everyday this month up. Oh, mark my words, I will totally use up every day of this month till everyone who isn't bored of vampires yet, is. This isn't my goal, of course. I want people to enjoy vampire books. I guess what I'm saying is that I have an ego problem. Anywho, on with the show.

(my summaries as always come from B&N)
Elena: transformed, the golden girl has become what she once feared and desired.

Stefan: tormented by losing Elena, he's determined to end his feud with Damon once and for all—whatever the cost. But slowly he begins to realize that his brother is not his only enemy.

Damon: at last, he possesses Elena. But will his thirst for revenge against Stefan poison his triumph? Or can they come together to face one final battle?

I don't know how, but somehow L.J. Smith just kicked it up another notch (for those of you who do not know, these books were made in the 90's) (i also apologize for saying "kicked it up another notch") I'd say that out of all of the VD books so far (i can't judge Nightfall as it has not come out yet) The Fury was my favorite. This was the moment I'd been waiting for in the serious. Where all of the clues fall together, when... things... happen. And I LOVED every moment of it. I loved Damon much much more during these next two books. Like, somehow, he shows tiny peeks of his vulnerable side. The thing that irritated me, and I could tell it irritated Elena also, was that during a very weak moment, there was a huge brother moment and it seemed like they'd forgotten Elena was there. I know that families can be extremely close knit and that the bond between brothers can be almost (notice i said ALMOST) unbreakable. I get that. But the bond had been broken centuries ago. And now they were fighting over a new girl (Elena). So they had to choose this moment to get somewhat chummy. Another odd thing with Smith's vampires is that they have such odd personalities. Is there not a through and through sensitive one in the bunch? Sure they can wallow and sulk and be emo vamps all they'd like, but they usually hide their emotions behind an extremely sexy and extremely closed off mask. What the hell? When did vampires get so macho? They didn't. They are boys! When did that happen? I feel that Smith's vampires are the jocks of the vampire world, and I have NO IDEA WHY I THINK THAT! But I do. Can't be helped. *shrugs* Notice how I've been getting off task? That's my way of driving you off track of the spoilers and hopefully it's been working (probably not). I don't know when I became so secretive about spoilers. I guess it's because I don't want to ruin the experience. Anyway, The Fury switches things up a LOT and I am not kidding. Dark Reunion was depressing in a way, but I still loved it. You get to hear a lot from Bonnie's POV, which is cool because she's one of my fav characters. And look forward to a happy ending!

I support Bonnie and Damon! They should totally get together! Done with the series, maybe? Well, there is an extra story that you should read HERE if you're finished. And I'm serious. I go there a lot. I am also a fan of fanfics! That was an odd sentence.

I sense that I am getting too fangirlish for my usually indifferent tastes, so I think this shall be it. Tomorrow will be a new one! As will the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next... You get the point.
