New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Oh, gosh.

I feel the need to point out to people that I'm not sure enough in my "reviews" to call them "reviews" because I haven't been schooled in "reviewing". I feel that when I "discuss" the books on my site I am either: A. Gushing the whole time about how much I love it. or B. Rambling/slamming (about) the books faults. And I'm cool with that. At least it's easier. =)

(From B&N, naturally. Oh how I love B&N even if we don't have one.)
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. . . .

I find it funny that even Team Jacob-ers, like I, can still dislike New Moon the most. It was the starting point for Jacob and Bella! Why don't I like it as much?! Honestly? I have no clue. I regretfully admit it, but maybe it is because there was no Edward. Are there no full-on Team Jacobs? Because, hate to break it to my fellow Jacob-lovers but there are a lot of Team Edward-ians (don't you love my terms?) who hate Jacob. So why are there no Team Jacob-ers who hate Edward? Oh, maybe it is because he is perfect. There is no person who loves Jacob and doesn't love Edward. And if there is then they are a very miniscule minority (is that an oxymoron?). So, that is why I disliked New Moon a little. And, honesty still standing, Jacob is kind of a jerk. Kind of? Okay, he is a full on jerk sometimes but it isn't like he is completely horrible. Just a normal teenage guy in a twenty-five year old's body. He can't help himself. Something I did like about this book was seeing Bella freak out. In the back of my mind I couldn't help thinking that this was karma in the works. It's like, that was what she got for being all fearless-sounding around Edward. And I agree with Meyer. It is fun to torture characters. She probably didn't say it in that exact context, but it was implied. So, yeah. This was the torture book of the series and it was fun. Not nearly as fun as Eclipse is, but still fun nevertheless. And this is my opinion on New Moon. If you didn't like it, then read the book yourself. Yep.

Tay-Toe (a.k.a. the girl who thinks it is funny to torture characters.)

Ah, yes. I'll call them my "one-sided discussions" from now on. It's like talking to yourself and only looking half as crazy! Ooh, that makes it sound fun...
