I'm Lame.

And I'm cool with it. Being lame saves me valuable time, which, as you can see, I need as much as I can get. That is what you get when you are a semi-fast reader, though. You read relatively quickly, but not quickly enough and you just don't wanna put the book down. Therefore, I try as hard as I can and post before midnight so I keep that little personal bet.

So, down to business.

Recently, Tay-Toe was nominated for the I Love Your Blog award from TruBlu (click the pic) and I must say: wow. I've been blogging for, what, like a month?! That is awesome! It's a bit of a shocker, because she could've chosen any random seven (well, maybe she did) and if she did then I'm just grateful to be random. Oh, I never knew that random-ness was a gift... Anyway, this is where I'm lame.

I am doing two out of five requirements for this, so yeah... I really have no one to choose from! I am a noob! So, following in The Story Siren's footsteps, I nominate everyone! If you are a blogger and you read my blog, I automatically love your blog! So give yourself a pat on the back for accidently stumbling across my miniscule blog and earning yourself an award. Not an actual, factual award that you can place on your mantle (?) but it is just as valuable, maybe even more! I'm turning into a hippie, but whatever! Share the love! Even if I sound so frickin generic that you want to claw my eyes out!

Moving on.

(B&N)
St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school—it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's—the very place where they're most in danger. . . .

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Gosh, gosh, gosh, I could gush over this book for hours. (sorry for so many g*sh words) In fact, if I don't watch myself, I just might. Vampire Academy, meet my readers. Readers, meet my Twilight withdrawl book. Yes, you heard right. This was the first book to lead me into recovery from Twilight. Though I was not unscathed... I loved vampires more than ever from that point on! And I didn't care much either. I absolutely loved this book, characters, plot, everything! Rose was a huge shock for me. I'd never read a book with the POV of a girl with so much... spunk. Yeah, that describes her enough. Rose has an extreme amount of spunk. And she's dangerous and has a sarcastic sense of humor. And if anyone didn't know, dhampirs are vampires with both a human or dhampir parent and a full blooded strigoi parent. Though, most dhampirs are results from sex-capades with blood-whores but whatever. Some are dignified, I suppose. But not them blood-whores. Heh heh. And no I am not being offensive. One: this is the term from the book. Two: I'm sure there are no vampires reading my blog because that is the ultimate irony during Bloody December. And Three: If you don't approve of semi-cussing like that, then what are you doing here? This is Taylor after all.
Lissa was pretty cool, though I hate how sometimes she's petty and I don't blame Rose for not telling Lissa everything. And HOTTIE LOOKOUT!!! Dimitri and Christian... *swoon*. Mason isn't half bad either... *another swoon* but seriously, I love the boys in this series. They are so... well, everyone for that matter is ridiculously funny for no reason at all. Richelle Mead is just that good, I guess. Gosh, I think that this could last forever... Okay, I thought that though Rose and Lissa's friendship was a bit tense when they re-appeared at the Academy but I loved the concern that they held for each other otherwise. Everyone is pretty concerned of everyone, truth be told. But honestly? Dimitri and Christian are the best guys ever... Oh, you'll know if you read it. You'll know. And if I could choose one person from literature to become, it would be Rose. Who wouldn't want to be a hot, kicking-ass dhampir, with a sharp tongue and a wicked sense of humor? Not this chick. In fact, if you ever see an opening for this job, sign me up.

I tried to keep from rambling too much. I tried, probably didn't succeed but it's the thought that counts, yeah?

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll see ya tomorrow or maybe another day away~! (I am so sorry.)

Hearts&Circles,
Tay-Toe
