(froooooom B&NNNNNNNN~!)
The mansion on top of Benson Hill has been empty and boarded up for years. But a new family has moved in. A family that never ventures out during the day. Who are these creepy people –– especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town gossip actually be true? Are they vampires?
Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.
This book compares no where to Schreibers other books, Teenage Mermaid and Comedy Girl--in a good way. When I read the other books, I could not believe that they were from the same author! I absolutely loved Vampire Kisses, so don't let it's grade fool you. Sure, it was majorly cliche and sure the plot sort of sucked, and maybe the characters reacted unrealistically and used many !!! again. It figures, really. Alexander is cute, but predictable. Becky (?) was cute, also, the perfect bff, I guess, but predictable. The sidekick, y'know? The one who has to rebel at some point, but not harshly, not too big a deal. The only unpredictable people, to me, was Trevor and Raven. For some reason, I love Trevor. He is an asshole, but he made it totally interesting. Favorite part: when Trevor and Raven go out to the woods. That shouldn't be too much of a spoiler, but it should tell you too look out for it. You'll love it, too. Promise. (Oh, Trevor! Is this your underwear?) Hehehe. Alexander is nice, though, and just because I haven't talked about him much doesn't make him less of a gentleman/artist/(maybe)vampire/hot goth guy who Raven drools over. Cause he is cool. And somewhat significant. Just not to me. Old Creepy Dude is sweet. Sure, that may not be his real nickname word for word, but you get the gist of it. He is old, creepy, and a dude. 'Nuff said. So! Enjoy Raven's shenanigans as I have.
